On
January 20th, 2021, CSTC and Hudong zhonghua successfully delivered
a 23,000 TEU container vessel to CMA CGM. So far, 5 23,000TEU container vessels
have been delivered to CMA CGM. Two vessels were built by Jiangnan and three
vessels were built by Hudong zhonghua, each vessel at a one-month interval.
Like
the CMA CGM JACQUES SAADE, 400m in length, 61m in width, and with a 16m draft, the
other four sister vessels are the same in size, and also equipped with the
world's largest dual fuel power w12*92df main
engine, developed and manufactured by WinGD(a subsidiary of CSSC). This type of
engine boasts state-of-the-art innovations that enable an optimization of its
energy efficiency and air preservation quality. It enables a 99% reduction in
sulfur oxides and fine particle emissions, an 85% reduction in nitrogen oxides
emissions, and 20% less CO2, far exceeding the standing regulation.
As an
important partner of CMA CGM, CSSC maintains good cooperation with CMA CGM all
the time. After the outbreak of COVID-19 epidemic, CMA CGM assisted CSTC,JN,HZ to
resume construction actively. Delivery of these series vessels timely demonstrates
the capacity of CSTC,JN,HZ as well as the close cooperation and solidarity
among the three parties
